Resume
Education
Princeton University
Bachelor of Science and Engineering, Computer Science 2014
Conducted independent undergraduate research in Human-Computer Interaction under Dr. Rebecca Fiebrink.
Work
Seattle Makers
Director of Strategy (Feb 2023 - Aug 2025)
Conducted member interviews and community-wide surveys to understand user needs, applying qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform programming, organizational priorities, and operational improvements.
Guided makers through end-to-end hardware prototyping, providing practical instruction in CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting, woodworking, and textile design.
Supported a smooth organizational transition into a workshop three times the size of the original space, coordinating across volunteers and contributing to expansion planning.
Service progression: Volunteer, February 2023–May 2024; subsequently hired into a staff position.
University of Washington
UX Researcher (Sep 2019 - June 2022)
Smartphone-Based Pulse Oximetry: Led user research and hardware prototyping for a novel smartphone-based pulse oximeter, translating human needs into physical designs through CAD modeling, 3D printing, low-fidelity prototyping, and usability testing.
Flexible Robotic Skin: Fabricated flexible, tactile-sensing robotic skin prototypes using 3D printing, silicone molding, and custom microfluidic sensor circuitry; refined fabrication methods to improve the prototyping process.
Protective Medical Equipment: Designed custom protective face shields for ophthalmologists using CAD and 3D printing, evaluating comfort, biological fit, and safety to inform design improvements.
STEM Education Hardware: Designed interactive educational toys and hardware kits incorporating custom circuitry, 3D printing, and laser cutting to teach children foundational concepts in electronics.
NASA Human-Computer Interaction Group
User Experience Researcher (Sep 2014 - Aug 2018)
AR Smart Tool Tracking: Designed and evaluated an augmented reality and connected-hardware tool management system to streamline asset tracking and support astronaut autonomy during spaceflight operations.
Cross-System Search: Led UX research for a data integration tool that unified search across systems used in crewed spaceflight operations, supporting operational workflows across multiple missions, including Artemis II.
Mission Safety Software: Led user research, usability testing, and design across a suite of mission safety software supporting crewed spaceflight operations including International Space Station and Artemis programs
